Stop looking at man to save us or enslave us. This is at its very roots a supernatural battle and as long as humanity keeps resisting good, evil will prevail. You don't even have to believe in God to realize it... it's the same repeating pattern over millenia... that's why I chose the word supernatural vs spiritual. In spiritual war you have a choice, in supernatural war you go with where the prevailing winds take you. 50 years of utter godlessness has led us to no choices on this plane, just a choice in our destination.
