She is advocating for a slave class! She argues for humans to be allowed in for free so that companies that need hard laborers can vie for them! I’ve argued this with a staunch democrat before. Dems think that we need immigrants to pick our agriculture, but don’t seem to realize how condescending that is to assume people coming across are only good for that and not for the real American Dream.

I really doubt the illegals come here dreaming of picking strawberries and living 15 to a shack, and they won’t. They’ll find their own way here.

Regardless mafia princess Pelosi, you can't break immigration law to do it. Pelosi said nobody is above the law many times. Breaking your oath entitles you to impeachment.

Not many coffee pickers in Nicaragua because they can earn ten to twenty times those wages escorting "undocumented" Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians, and assorted Africans to the Honduran border.

A few gourmet bean farms are shutting down because they cannot find workers willing to work even with doubling the wages. Between fertilizer, husking the shells, and transportation in mountainous regions, coffee farming is barely profitable.

Just read an article saying farming is 40% more expensive under Biden. Crops right now are the most expensive since WW2.

If you have worked and lived amoung illegals - pickers. You know what she says is a pile of crap as usual.

Sure, they come here saying they want to harvest, they allow them here saying we need them to harvest.

Guess what, that lasts about one full season.

Why do you ask? Because they have a child each year and make more money that way.

The men, if they stick around with the original mother get minority loans and start a small business... Be it gardening, office or home cleaning, sometimes a small restaurant, or street corner selling. Yes they get loans for these. Oh don't forget the low income minority loans from for the homes.

Also, the younger ones get the free college. With that they get everything free, books, child care, bus passes, even gas and housing, they get priority in choosing classes as well when they open for registration. They will never work in the fields, they are here for those office jobs and sending that money back home for a large house.

And for those that say oh they pay into the system because when they pay all the taxes are taken out they they never get to use.
People who say that have never worked with or around a harvesting operation. There are two sets of books a ranch/farm has, one public the other locked up on a separate property. They are paid two ways. Mostly by cash. Every Friday if you are in a growing area, pay attention to the white vans around the farms and ranches. You will see they are actually secured money vans, bullet proof glass, solid doors, here in California most just weld metal over the entire windshield with a small slit to see to drive, like madmax. The others get paid by check. That checking account is with places such as bank of America. And the bank has the list of names from the grower who is to have it cashed without an account.

Occasionally they are paid on payroll, which allows them the HUGE child tax credit for each kid.


This is all illegal, from the vans with metal windshields, to keeping two sets of books and writing personal checks from an employer off a bank to be cashed . But everyone knows, they allow it. They are all in it and look the other way.

The only thing that can be done is holding politicians accountable, voting accountable...even then you can see what happens.

Not 40 million. The truth is that they only work in the fields and on the ranches as long as it takes to find a better gig (housekeeping, yard work, construction, etc). The rich hire them for household help and when they ask for a raise, they are fired and another newly arrived illegal takes their place. The rich man is a tax dodging cheapskate.
