At what point do you start asking for help?
Is it better to fight growing old or recognize that you aren't what you were ?

Well...I'm 59 so maybe I'm feeling my age with 60-72 hour work weeks.

The point at which it’s easier to pay someone to do it for you.

that's too much work, IMO.

i'm 54....i work hard, but spend plenty of time plying/enjoying.

the stress is what gets us in the end.

but if the help you need is around your home/property...hire a young person who needs some life skills too.

It’s also worth considering moving into something with no yard hf

Yard work is one of the best things old-timers like me can do. Steady, gentle exercise, at your own pace, out in the fresh air. Keeps your joints loose.

I still do almost all the repairs/maintenance around the house. Painting, sealing the driveway, cleaning the gutters… perfectly doable as long as you take your time and have a plan. Replaced the leaky drain pipes under my kitchen sink a couple of weeks ago, not fun but much better than paying a plumber $300/hour to do it. Will be doing a little concrete patching work before it gets too cold, as well. The only thing I don’t do anymore is work on my car, but then again, I’ve farmed that out since my early 30’s. Still do all my own work on small engines, though.
