No one would be able to tell. It's supposed to be better than Hubble, but its not the same type of telescope. It doesn't take pictures like hubble. Secondly, its quite a bit better, but not good enough to do much more than Hubble. It was never suppose to be alot more advanced than Hubble.

Thats not what they said when asked about the 10 billion dollars we spent on it.

Webb got whack with a meteor shower and is in an all new orbit around Jupiter.

You simply don't understand what it is producing.

It has imaged galaxies we've never seen before and far older(farther away) than we ever saw before.


It is researching (producing data)on the expansion of the universe.and the "big bang "theory.

I love the images!

The new pictures are radically superior to old pictures of the same galaxies and nebulas.

Just photographing spots that were mainly black areas with Hubble now turn out to be loaded with new galaxies.

It's not as much about the technical capabilities of the scope as it is about what those who control it choose to point it at.

Sadly upon deployment it failed. So yes it was a massive failure. Although they did adjust it with algorithms and made it slightly better BUT if it wasn't flawed it would've been amazing!
