Strong indications by global media reports and space magazines point to the installation of a new laser system named Kalina at a Russian space surveillance facility in the northern Caucasus that would target the optical systems of foreign imaging satellites passing over Russian territory. The project, which was started in 2011, has seen repeated delays, but fresh Google Earth imagery reveals that work is now well under way. Kalina will supplement the Peresvet mobile laser dazzler, which has been in use since late 2019.

We have been doing this for 20 years. We target them with lasers to heat up and damage the satellites until they effectively burn up.

This is when you play with fire and use weapons of mass destruction in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and next you force Russian Federation after you guck some goats in Afganistan and Iraq, this is only the beginning. Russia still not used any advanced weapons until now, expect the unexpected brainwashed zombies.

Lasers were used as early as the 70s ... however yellow beams were developed about 15 years ago. Modern optics used in satellites can correct to some degree... yellow is one of those colors that swamps out and destroys the components...

Although most dye lasers emit visible light, some laser dyes are suitable for ultraviolet emission. Excimer lasers are very powerful UV sources, also emitting nanosecond pulses, but with average output powers between a few watts and hundreds of watts. Typical wavelengths are between 157 nm (F2) and 351 nm (XeF).

infrared laser is a low cost, high power laser with many capabilities. These lasers are small and light, allowing for operation without a high input power requirement. Infrared light is radiation in the non-visible spectrum, which extends from 1300 to 1700 nm.
