Gasoline is taxed by every state and that tax pays for roads.
So, to have electric cars not only will you be spending just as much as with gasoline, but they will have to add an additional tax on for ROADS.
The hidden cost nobody is talking about.

The real one question nobody is talking about is how are they going to find enough lithium to manufacture 10's of millions of batteries every year for new cars and replacements. The entire surface of the earth will have to be strip mined. Not to mention, nobody is willing to pay $25K for a used car then have to spend another $20K on a replacement battery. If you can buy a new car for $45K what happens to the old battery and car? Is it now disposable because nobody wants it? Are you now stuck with a $25K loss since you can't afford to buy a new battery for a used car? Nobody thinks things through anymore in this day. They're all just Ghey For Green! Unless if you factor in a much lower population.
