Electric Cars: One Thing Nobody is Talking About. Who Will Pay For the Roads?
Gasoline is taxed by every state and that tax pays for roads.

So, to have electric cars not only will you be spending just as much as with gasoline, but they will have to add an additional tax on for ROADS.

The hidden cost nobody is talking about.

Yes, but if you're paying the same amount to drive an e car as a gas car, and an additional tax for ROADS is added... you pay more.

You'll be paying by the mile. That has already started with EV's in some states.
The real one question nobody is talking about is how are they going to find enough lithium to manufacture 10's of millions of batteries every year for new cars and replacements. The entire surface of the earth will have to be strip mined. Not to mention, nobody is willing to pay $25K for a used car then have to spend another $20K on a replacement battery. If you can buy a new car for $45K what happens to the old battery and car? Is it now disposable because nobody wants it? Are you now stuck with a $25K loss since you can't afford to buy a new battery for a used car?

Re: Electric Cars: One Thing Nobody is Talking About. Who Will Pay For the Roads?
there will be no global, ALL CARS ELECTRIC by (insert year here) future.

Not as long as electricity is not free energy.

besides, there is not enough metal resources for batteries,
considering Space/Mil tech is priority in the human future.
civilian transportation is secondary.

roads in the future will be WIDE, at least 200meters wide.
and there will be many types of transportation, fast, levitating, etc.
but less private vehicles.

so sheep, stop dreaming of electric cars future.

no. taxes on everything will kill humanity. it kills economy, prosperity of individuals, which kills teams, which kills companies, which kills countries...

no tax should be ever be over 10%.
no banks should ever be private.
no individual should ever make more than 1 billion,
after that all profits to common good (NOT FOUNDATIONS! NOT CHARITIES!)
that is, to benefit the whole peoples.

advanced civs in the galaxy don't have taxes, they are fully long past that kind of stranglehold oppressions of the ant level societies.

everyone owns everything together planetarily, nobody has scarcity. basic needs are met. nobody owns excess.
leaders are merit only. and merits are not political, not nepotistic.
there is no politics, no religions in control, no dogmas straying people, no deception in sciences...

as long as Earth nations let masons and other cults, politicians and clergy of various religions lead them, there will be no future.

With a global taxation of 95% you will pay for roads while not allowed to use them.

We pay plenty now and the roads are crap. Nothing will change.
Except since the grid won’t be able to charge the cars, so less use, so the roads will be used by bikes and skateboarders.
Tax those suckers.
