In my fantasy "they're-all-dead-now" world of intel and sources, Ezra Cohen said Baldwin "transitioned" a few months ago. I wonder if he's dead, because a lot of those celebs are.

Hard to imagine a settlement for such a thing (from an honest judge, that is).

The money being paid would be coming from the INSURANCE company, NOT Alex Baldwin.

Movie productions carry LOTS of insurance since over the years a fair number of people working on movie sets HAVE DIED or been seriously injured. It is a REQUIREMENT of the entities financing ANY movie that LOTS of insurance is required to be carried ... much like if you borrow money to buy a house the lender requires you to HAVE INSURANCE on that house (so as to protect their loaned amounts)

I have no idea how much insurance is usually carried by a lower budget movie like this one but the LEAST I could imagine would be $100 Million and it could easily be $250++ Million (on my personal car I carry $2 million liability, and i have less risk of hurting or killing someone than exists on a movie set, so I couldn't imagine a movie production wouldn't also be REQUIRED by it's lenders to be carrying a reasonable amount in case multiple people were killed, which DOES happen btw).

I would imagine the amount being paid would be in the several TENS of millions of dollars range based upon the cinematographer's potential earnings over the rest of her career (she was still on an upwards trajectory and top flight cinematogrphers make BIG BUCKS! sometimes $MILLIONS$ per film) plus the emotional loss felt by her children and husband.
