Lol Statistics: 65% of fatal dog attacks are pitbulls. 2nd place goes to rottweilers at a distant 10%. Still doesn't take back the fingers being pointed at the humans and how they handled the situations. Guns don't kill people..people kill people. That works for many things..even dogs. People suck. |

Lol My toy poodle wouldn't hurt a fly....well, she couldn't if she tried....lol I had a miniature poodle growing up, they are smart dogs. We decided to send our Setter/Pointer mix to training (learned hand signs) and there was a standard poodle there. One day she got loose and when the trainers went out they found her over by my dog, my dog loved people and other dogs. Wasn't crazy about cats but never hurt any, he would chase other cats out of the yard (never touched our cats) but didn't care to catch, same with rabbits. I would watch him chase, one cat he caught up to the cat stopped and decided to hiss and swipe at him and he just stopped with a look on his face that said, Well that was rude, and he turned around and came back. |

I used to run with my English Pointer/English Setter mix (great dogs). I also had trouble with Chows and Rottweilers. Not to say other dogs wouldn't come up and bother us, even small dogs, but not like those 3, thankfully we didn't have as many pits when I was running in neighborhoods and started running in other areas, because of the dog issues. It got so bad it just wasn't worth it. First clue is YOUR RUNNING.... All dogs need to be behind secure fences...period. Yes, they should be. My dog was on a leash with me. But most dogs wouldn't bother me while i ran, some would. In fact some dogs would want to run with me, which was another problem. One woman was chasing her dog down pleading with me to slow down so she could get her dog. Keep your dog contained! |
