The U.S. government has placed an order for $290 million worth of the drug Nplate, which is normally used solely to treat thrombocytopenia. It increases platelet count to enable clotting of blood. An article from ZeroHedge goes into more detail: [link to www.zerohedge.com (secure)] When exposed to high amounts of penetrating ionizing radiation (gamma rays, for instance), the body’s ability to produce platelets needed for clotting is suppressed or destroyed, thus victims can bleed out internally. Using Nplate to counter the effects of radiation exposure is an off-label use of the drug. When I read this, the first thing to enter my mind was that the potential use of a drug that increases platelet count on a population that seems to already be prone to excessive clotting due to the effects of the Covid MRNA vaccines was a rather unsettling prospect. Your thoughts? Please discuss.

Increasing platelet count does not promote clotting, necessarily. It depends on platelet FUNCTION, which can be normal (no excess clotting) or abnormal (excess clotting). Abnormal platelet function can be caused by many things, like stress. Abnormal function can also be opposed by many common nutrients and drugs, like aspirin, pyridoxine (B6), niacin (B3), vitamin E, sulfur (like N-acetylcysteine), and other stuff. Platelets are generally GOOD. They are the body's healers. Look up PRP -- Platelet Rich Plasma -- and learn about the regenerative and healing effects of platelets. Wonderful stuff.

It helps prevent cell breakdown after radiation exposure... iodine is primarily for secondary radiation exposure (fallout, wind carrying radioactive particles). This stuff is for those that survive the first blast but have recieved extremely high doses of radiation.
