Never seen it firsthand, never been in one. And that's not a bad thing, war is terrible in any form. They shouldn't have to know. But with this particular one the media is broadcasting the Ukraine conflict almost daily. Both sides are tweeting everything they do, concocting pictures and videos of dubious legitimacy. They didn't do this for the Middle East, they were quiet about that one, but for Ukraine they're making a show of it. So the people who don't know war see every sort of image as a majorly shocking thing. It's a manipulative propaganda technique to paint Russia as evil as possible and swindle gullible people. As for the rules thing. Humanity has spent thousands of years in endless wars, so much that they made a pretend rulebook of things nations just don't want done to themselves, convincing everyone to stop. Like children making up rules to their games on the spot. Labeling certain methods of fighting as good and others evil, it is truly the most hypocritical thing ever. |
