Re: Will God Forgive Me? The Bible’s answer Yes, God will
Regardless of all my most diligent efforts
Punishment's, confession, prayer, reconciliation, redemption
God repeatedly informed me
I didn't quite make it, and he performed things to tie off the loose ends of my failure by fixing my wrongs where I missed the mark
and learning my lesson to not repeat my mistakes

I do alot of preechy g l pee rants
obviously adding mounting my torment
where I am like others stuck in my own screwed up mode I
misinform and misguide
because were not all the same
and my words are situation specific
outside general advice

Re: Will God Forgive Me? The Bible’s answer Yes, God will
Yes, God will forgive your sins if you take the proper steps. The Bible says that God is “ready to forgive” and that he “will forgive in a large way.” (Nehemiah 9:17; Psalm 86:5; Isaiah 55:7) When he forgives us, he does so completely. Our sins are “blotted out,” or erased. (Acts 3:19) God also forgives permanently, for he says: “I will no longer remember their sin.” (Jeremiah 31:34) Once he forgives, he does not rehash our sins in order to accuse us or to punish us again and again.

However, God’s forgiveness is not based on weakness or sentimentality. He never bends his righteous standards. For this reason, he refuses to forgive some sins.—Joshua 24:19, 20.

Everyone's input is welcome especially contrary views.

Pray constantly. 18Give thanks for everything. This is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19Do not put out the fire of the spirit. 20Do not treat prophecies with contempt. 21Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine. 1Thes5:19

For God is my witness of how I am longing for all of you with such tender affection as Christ Jesus has. 9And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; 10that you may make sure of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ; 11and that you may be filled with righteous fruit, which is through Jesus Christ, to God’s glory and praise. Do not neglect the gift in you that was given you through a prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. 15Ponder over these things; be absorbed in them, so that your advancement may be plainly seen by all people. 16Pay constant attention to yourself and to your teaching. Re: Will God Forgive Me? The Bible’s answer Yes, God will
I don't see the point. God hated me since I was in the womb, and cursed me to a joyless life. Literally, whenever anything in my life happens that brings joy, well doing or any kind of deep happiness, God strips it away. Lasted until about age 32-ish before I seen the pattern and said "f it" done.

When a being as powerful as God is hell bent on ensuring a person lives a lonely, afflicted, miserable life, there isn't much you can do.

The deepest sting is, if I were to describe the emotion I have towards God, it isn't really bitterness, or spitefulness or even anger. Just disappointment summed up in the words "Et tu God? Et tu?".

Things are what they are, and I accepted that in this creation, when I need a father, when I need a savoir, when I need a God, I'm shit out of luck, as the agency of the divine always seemed obsessed with turning every period of my life to their profit in some way, shape or form, ultimately leaving me to hold the bag.

Only when I'm dead, and can no longer live, love or be loved. When well doing as meaningless and there is no scarcity, when it no longer matters, then God will "give" and stop doing harm/evil to me, so I checked out and washed my hands of it all.

Don't get me wrong, I believe God is real and etc, I just can't view him as a just, holy or righteous entity. He is all powerful, amoral, and says and does anything to get his way. No matter what choice I thought I could of made, there were no real or meaningful choices. God forced me down the path I traveled in life, held me down and silenced me so he could have his desired end result. He wanted my soul murdered as a child, and as a teen he wanted me fully subdued and broken.

He only allowed me to touch love once, because without knowing love, the holy spirit could never dwell within me. As soon as I felt "love", God sealed it away and took my memory of the night away, and struck me with affliction to drag the cause and memory of love away from me.

In truth, I regret being born. What is the point if even God is unjust, cruel and just another merciless exploiter? Job could say "God gives and God takes", I can only say "God takes". When I had need of a God, he was nowhere to be found. When God's children had need of him, he didn't hesitate to use me as a slave for their benefit, and I'm sick of it all.

God is God of the abusers, the liars, the false accusers, let them give praise and worship. How could I ever even fake it without being an outright liar? How can someone that genuinely does not desire eternal life, and regrets existing, give praise to the originator of existence?

Not only that, even if I strive to be absolutely perfect, I will never get a period of my life to rest, to be free. In this life, God will not relent until I'm old and gray. Maybe when I'm 80 if I behave really well and do everything God asks of me, he will let me get fall in love and get married. When this life fades away, then what? Eternity as an outright slave forced to labor eternally for a God who at no time in my existence ever allowed me any meaningful degrees of freedom? Who authored all the pain and suffering of my childhood and teens. Who condemned me to a life of poverty and destitution because it benefited him to do so.

Before God murdered me, murdered my soul/essence of me, what crime did I commit? I didn't worship the Easter Bunny, nor did I worship Santa Claus. I obeyed my parents, even my abusive birth father and crappy teachers. I did not bully others and stood up for others. God murdered me without cause, because he wanted an empty vessel to use for the benefit of his children.

No matter how hard I tried, God rejected me as a child of his, and instead viewed me only as a slave condemned to labor without thanks or reward. I know what scripture says about a "wise slave lording over a foolish inheritor/child", but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and is so absolutely unjust that I just can't do it anymore.

There is no one I can look to for salvation, for justice, for redemption/restoration. So why bother? Wasn't my time in the womb, my time as an infant and toddler, my childhood, teen years, the waste of my 20's and the brokenness of my thirties enough of a sacrifice to appease God? I'm tired of it all. My cup has been overfilled with affliction since before I drew my first breathe and will likely continue all the days of my life. How can I hope in a God who has does so much harm to me for his own prosperity?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78022457

1 John 5:19.. The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.

until all forms of human government are found wanting-

The Promises Versus the Realities

Anarchies promise unlimited, absolute freedom; the reality is that without government there is no framework of regulations or principles within which individuals can cooperate for mutual benefit; unlimited freedom results in chaos.

Monarchies promise stability and unity under the rule of a single regent; the reality is that human regents, of limited knowledge, hampered by human imperfections and frailties, perhaps even moved by wrong motives, are themselves mortal; any stability and unity are therefore short-lived.

Aristocracies promise to provide the best in rulers; the reality is that they rule because they have wealth, a certain blood descent, or power, not necessarily because they have wisdom, insight, or love and concern for others; the inadequate ruler of a monarchy is simply replaced by the multiple rulers of an elite aristocracy.

Democracies promise that all the people may decide for the benefit of all; the reality is that citizens lack both the knowledge and the pure motives necessary to make consistently right decisions for the common good; democracy was described by Plato as “a charming form of government, full of variety and disorder, and dispensing a sort of equality to equals and unequals alike.”

Autocracies promise to get things done and to do so without undue delay; the reality is, as journalist Otto Friedrich writes, that “even the best-intentioned men, once they enter the jungle of power politics, have to confront the necessity of directing actions that they would, in normal circumstances, be inclined to call immoral”; thus “good” autocrats turn into power-driven rulers willing to sacrifice the needs of their citizens on an altar of personal ambition or expediency.

Fascist governments promise to control the economy for the common good; the reality is that they do so none too successfully and at the cost of personal liberty; by glorifying war and nationalism, they create political monstrosities like Italy under Mussolini and Germany under Hitler.

Communist governments promise to create a Utopian, classless society with citizens enjoying complete equality before the law; the reality is that classes and inequalities still exist and that corrupt politicians fleece the common man; the result has been widespread rejection of the communist concept, with its strongholds threatened with breakup by nationalistic and separatist movements.

It's really quite simple.

Do you recognize and admit your wrong?

Do you repent?

Are you sorry?

Do you, always, despite yourself,

seek to change and to do and to be better?

If so, then your heart is with Him and He knows.

Simply not true.

You hate you and you hate God.

Have you ever been thankful for anything?

Can you enjoy a sunset or the stars at night?

Can you enjoy a great feast?

Can you enjoy a cool drink of water?

Your problem is you,

not God.

He gave you everything He gave me.

I have nothing you do not have

or that is not equally available to you as well.

What do you want?

What do you need?

If that is so, then what did Jesus mean when he told the apostles: “If you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven; if you retain those of anyone, they are retained”? (John 20:23) He was describing a unique authority that he would give to the apostles when they received the holy spirit.—John 20:22.

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61284891

And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.
But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.
Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
Jesus said to him,
"'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Good picks, also
All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

Re: Will God Forgive Me? The Bible’s answer Yes, God will
It's really quite simple.

Do you recognize and admit your wrong?

Do you repent?

Are you sorry?

Do you, always, despite yourself,

seek to change and to do and to be better?

If so, then your heart is with Him and He knows.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84858687

you are missing the Key ingredient in your equation. this will only lead to a form of godliness but is still denying the true power thereof. its so simple humans are complicating it for nothing.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 83834333

So whatever you do, just pose superior,

but do not answer even what you say is the answer.

You approve you.

Do you need the Messiah?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84877999

all men need forgiveness for there sins to enter heaven. that forgiveness only comes from Jesus Christ and what he has done. ALL need him but not all answer the call.

"Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom of the heavens" Lk12;32

I am the fine shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me, 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I surrender my life in behalf of the sheep.
16“And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those too I must bring in, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd. Jo10:16

Re: Will God Forgive Me? The Bible’s answer Yes, God will
As promised, the apostles received this gift when the holy spirit was poured out in 33 C.E. (Acts 2:1-4) The apostle Peter used this authority when judging the disciples Ananias and Sapphira. Peter miraculously knew about their deceptive scheme, and his judgment indicated that their sin would not be forgiven.—Acts 5:1-11.

That miraculous gift of the holy spirit, like other gifts such as healing and speaking in tongues, ceased after the death of the apostles. (1 Corinthians 13:8-10) Thus, no human today can absolve another person of sin.
