Chuck Berry came out with Maybellene in 1955. It sounds like jump blues. Elvis released "that's all right" in 1954. He gave these jump blues songs a RnR sound. Bill Hayley released "rock around the clock tonight" in 1954. That song was a worldwide hit and ushered in the sound for rock and roll.

Space Guitar came out at the same time. To say someone invented rock and roll sounds stupid.

Modern popular music is one of the few things blacks have made a substantial contribution to. Don't try to take this achievement away from them.

do you end up with rock music without black influence? impossible to know but certainly would not have happened in the 50’s. at the same time you dont end up wit rock music without european folk music, southern folk, appalachia, ect either
