Why the Government Ignores UFOs…

I have a slightly different take on this.
They ignore or only pretend to study the phenomenon because they already know exactly what they are.
So instead, the expend money and effort on the cover-up and discrediting anyone taking a serious scientific interest in the phenomenon.

I lean more to this, I believe they already know. I would like to know how long though? in the 60's? 50's? maybe 1890's? Either way I dont think disclosure will come from so called government, maybe a ex government official. Maybe a leak or a hack? Believe we have better luck of accidental disclosure like a ufo fails and crashes or an accidental reveal in a high population area. Either way my guess is as good as yours.

the main reason ufo disclosure will never happen has to do with energy production,

I think we can say at least since the late 40s they've known. The Roswell crash and all that. Disclosure will I think come from the aliens themselves.

When humanity proves we're capable of interacting with the rest of the universe like mature adults, and not just lobbing bombs at them like we do each other, then they'll reach out to us on their own.

That won't happen as long as our governments exist. But if people collectively overthrow those tyrants and make a stand for themselves then we may have a strong chance of finally meeting the aliens in open contact. But either way, they'll be the ones to decide when it happens.

We already have all the proof. But accidental leaks are too easily suppressed. The government will just silence those people. And videos, pictures, the whole subject is still lost in the conspiracy realm because mainstream science does not take it seriously. So half the world ignores the obvious truth.

Uh sorry, it's much more complicated than that. A lot of people will want peace with the aliens and some will even think they are saviors. If you think a big war is going to break out maybe you didn't notice the stories about the UFOs disabling nukes.
