Was they clearly couldn't see what they had done was wrong. Even during the interview and reflecting on their actions. You could see they were arrogant, and felt affronted at being challenged. There has just been a major Earth Quake thousands are dead. Many people are trapped and suffering, and everyone alive is helping others. And there they were going through the rubble of people homes breaking in to locked boxes, with the attitude they wont be needing this money any more. One of the Israelis during his interview blames the Earthquake for the locals reacting they way they did. Then quickly realizing he was blaming them, quickly adds, and what i did. Stealing is a big deal in their religion. Dogsbollocks |

I have met Nepalese people over the Years, and many Buddhists. They are always good peace loving people. Who never have a bad word to say against anyone. For them to be so fucking angry. As you and I, and many other people, they failed to comprehend the actions of these Guys. To the Nepalese their actions amounted to sacrilege/crime/theft. After watching I think the Nepalese did really well not to cave all of their Heads in with Rocks. Dogsbollocks |

Instead of “aftershock” they should have called it “I’m not shocked” Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81880333 It dosent break any stereotypes that is for sure. Many watching will likely have similar sentiments. Dogsbollocks |

NOT the exception. |

If they were really trying to steal money, why would they put the money in a clear plastic bag along with picture IDs and photos of the villagers, and then carry it into the village for all to see? Also, I did the Everest Base Camp hike in 2019. While there are great people in Nepal, I also met some of the more despicable people in Nepal during my world travels. I didn’t believe everything they said in that documentary, especially that village leader. They aren’t as noble as you think. |

I guarantee I’ve traveled more of this world than you ever will. The Nepalese are not saints. I personally heard Nepalese at Base Camp threatening to rape white women. I did not believe everything the villager claimed in the documentary. And the Israelis were well aware that they did something wrong and regretted it, but it’s not clear cut they were looting. Personally, I don’t think they were. It was a huge misunderstanding during the worst day of these villagers’ lives. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84111641 I am not sure what their long term intentions were with that Bag of Cash. I dont think it really mattered to the locals what their intentions were with the Cash.I know if it had of been me,and quite possibly you.We would have been enraged. There is a major Earth Quake that has killed thousands, devastated the Country. And these Guys come back with a Bag of Cash from a locked suit case in a devastated property. It is how it appeared that mattered. Even during the interview i felt they never really grasped the gravity of what they did with feelings running high. Was it a cultural fail,i dont know. I know i wouldn't have done it,i know you probably wouldn't have. Last Edited by Dogsbollocks on 10/12/2022 05:41 AM Dogsbollocks |
