Anonymous Coward User ID: 84411319 United States 10/13/2022 12:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm waiting in line for a Publix sub sandwich. Quoting: ThirstyMarlin! Or should I say, the world famous Publix foot-long sub. It's world famous because of Orlando. And Miami. Come to think of it, let's add Tampa, Pensacola, Jacksonville, Gainsville, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Sarasota, Saint Petersburg, Clearwater, and let's finish with the Greek Sponge Diving town, Tarpon Springs! Because you see...Publix completely dominates the state of Florida, in a Big way. Winn-Dixie, how do you hang-on? International travelers, coming to spend mountains of cash to see a life sized mouse, witches, mermaids, and all-things- Disney. Miami is clearly America's hub to Central & South America, as well as the island nations of the Caribbean. It's one of America's great international cities. Jacksonville is a Navy town, and the Navy is international by its very nature, especially a large naval base. Tampa...it's Tampa, I don't know why people come here, so stay away. Go to Orlando. And this is when I realized, looking around the grocery store, that I've learned a tremendous amount of information in 50 years of life, considering I cannot even remember much as an infant. I started blank. I knew nothing. Nothing-at-all. And now I know that white bread is much more tasty than wheat bread, although wheat bread is supposedly better for you. But I don't think so, and I don't care. I know about farming, at least I've driven my car across Kansas and Iowa a few times. And the wheat is harvested, by big machines called combines. In the movie 'Footloose' which I saw in a theater with my first date. I see the donut case, and I immediately know all kinds of information about donuts, but that bores me. In just a moment while waiting in line, I took this all in, in less than two minutes I think. And more than this, much more. And you know what I mean...do you? And let's not forget 18 years in school and how much we forget. And somehow all this information is stored in a brain? Specifically my brain in this case. I'm clueless, how much more does a brain surgeon know? But I can read. I'm reading stuff all around me. Signs, packages, labels, specials, speaking of which... I order the Boar's Head Turkey Special w/ Cranberry Sauce. I know, it sounds iffy right? Trust me, now I ask for double Cranberry Sauce. Because I have experience! I tried one of these last year in the Fall, like now. I realized how amazing clear eyesight is. Remember...I'm in a Publix, it's not your average Kroger. Visually it's an impressive and comfortable place. I know the names of everything I'm looking at. I've had 50 years to get so good at this game. I even know this is all about to end. Because it's closing time on America. But the shelves are not bare yet. We have plenty of toilet paper now. I know that Hurricane Ian was most likely manipulated by man. And I eat GMO food because I can't afford organic. Should I give-up smoking too? The store is advertising FREE FLU & COVID BOOSTERS. I don't know if I'd be unvaxxed right now if not for GLP. I don't try to share my knowledge anymore. What should I say, to the sandwich guy..."I need more mayo!" "Please!" I can also ride a bicycle, how about that! Oh, so can you? You learned that stuff when you were 3? Did I ride the short bus? Is that what you ask? Somehow this is all taking place in the lump of fat in my head, behind my eyes... BOOM! War is on the way. :Pirate 1: Shut up.. |

That took a few years of learnin. Can you write with the lights out? The internet down. Electricity off. Paper soaking wet and in short supply. How about Indian smoke signals? Morse Code? Brail? Chisel & Stone? I don't know Morse Code nor Brail...do you? I can probably do smoke signals. I saw Wile E. Coyote doing smoke signals more than once. I've never liked the Road Runner. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76817319 See...AC(7319) gets it. And so do you. It's not that hard to understand. Have you read the book of Ecclesiastes lately? You'll find it somewhere near Proverbs and Psalms. Don't read Proverbs now; it's too late for that. But if you want to really roll around in self-induced regret, depression, and a general sense of failure, then go ahead and read Proverbs...knock yourself out. Feeling more poetic and in need of comfort? Psalms. Ecclesiastes is the wisdom learned by King Solomon. He purposefully choose to live much of his life in search of wisdom. He even 'dabbled' in witchcraft & black magic for a while. The Star of David. That's his. Also known as the Star of Solomon. David was his father. "His mother was Bathsheba, with whom David had committed adultery and then had her husband Uriah the Hittite killed in battle. Nathan the Prophet called him out for the grievous sins and David wrote the song of repentance we know today a Psalm 51." {www.quora.com} Last Edited by ThirstyMarlin! on 10/13/2022 11:21 PM Marlin! |
