PSA to any hunters, If you don't kill the animal in 1 shot to prevent it's suffering, I hope you die. Btw, I support hunting, but I don't support dumbasses that don't know how to hunt. |

After his shot, the buffalo charged and gored Mario Alberto Canales Najjar, 64, an expert hunter of big game, causing his death. Najjar and three friends were hunting together in the province of Entre Rios at the time of the incident on October 7. The buffalo gored Najjar in the torso, causing rib and sternal fractures as well as retroperitoneal hematomas. The area had no cell phone reception and ambulances could not reach it, so he was transported to a hospital by a pickup truck. Najjar, who went into shock after the goring, was pronounced dead on arrival. His wife and two children came to Argentina to say goodbye; he was cremated so his ashes could be transported back to Mexico. https://twitter.com/_/status/1580348659039801345 Dangerous game, for a reason it's called so. |

You could see even in the death throws the bull was still fighting, till his last breath. You dont want that last breath to be anywheres close to where you are standing. |

Quoting: Nuke Dukem I'm no fan of recreational hunting and even less of incompetent recreational hunting. But me and some family and friends [young guys, mere teenagers] did a lot of spotlighting back in the 70's to control the large numbers of rabbits and hares eating the young crops. Just about every week we'd hunt for several hours to keep the numbers down. But even when it wasn't necessary to hunt so often, we would practice target shooting to keep our eye in. It's bad to wound an animal then it gets away to die slowly. We physically chased down the [rare] one that escaped to outside the line of fire to finish off with a club. We finished all with the club, if needed, usually within seconds. Extremely rare was the one that got away completely. And even though bouncing around over rough ground with loaded rifles never had even one close incident with accidental discharge of rifles, we were very disciplined and never fucked around. |

Probably were not Mexicans either. Had nothing to do with Argentina. And it is at least 3 years old. Great thread! [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Makes sense. I never heard of Cape Buffalo in Argentina. And a Mexican big game hunter would also be a rarity. At least I have never heard of one. Last Edited by JustmeTX on 10/14/2022 06:45 PM Justme |

I can't understand why an "expert" big game hunter would choose a position with such an extremely short field of view. It is actually somewhat retarded to do so. Now, if he thought he was just hunting rabbits with zero chance of meeting any big game, well, that is a bit more understandable. Not much, but a little. |

Quoting: Matrix Doctor This is just another reason to site scopes in and have a clear view mount as well. Side arms are always important to have when hunting big game. Cape Buffalo from Africa 2018-2019 Did you see that small dog try humping the black man leg lol Wow, I thought that was an old woman at first. Yeah, probably a black guide. They are supposed to carry a short large caliber "guide gun" when they hunt big game as a safety man. Something like a double barrel 4 bore. Last Edited by JustmeTX on 10/14/2022 07:27 PM Justme |

Rodulf User ID: 80898669 United States 10/14/2022 07:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This seems like a good video to send to those leftists who like to say "you don't need a semi-automatic rifle to hunt" or "you don't need a large clip". Faster fire with a decent clip would have downed that beast long before it made it to the hunter. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77947460 I don't hunt any particularly dangerous animals but I have encountered animals with rabies before. Whenever I hunt I always also have a semi-auto pistol with 12 or more rounds. The hunting rifle usually only has a few rounds in it and is bolt action. Carrying a gun with more than 10 rounds was illegal in most states until the CCW laws came about. I imagine it is also illegal in many countries..? There are not many countries where you have a right to armed self-defense. |
