Someone, the NSA?, sent my son a text message pretending to be me
I'm not making this shit up. This happened on my phone at 8pm last night when I was fast asleep. I discovered it this morning, and I am totally creeped out. I am in contact with Verizon through an online chat about this right now.

Is the NSA stalking our text messages? If so, not only can they read our texts, but they can send text messages from your phone pretending to be you to your family and friends.

This is probably a hacker, not NSA. They don't usually send messages like this, they intercept them and interfere with them. Many of these things are from criminal gangs and some security agencies like Mossad.

I don't know how I could tell that? I checked the text data on my Verizon account and it just shows an outbound message was sent from my phone at a time when I was asleep. I'm guessing from that it must have been somehow sent from my phone without me even touching it since I was asleep at the time.

It was an appropriate response to a message my son sent to me two hours earlier. So it had to be a person that sent it and was able to read my son's message to me.

Look up phone spoofing. Some gas stations sell disposable cards you can buy for $5. I liked them when I was a kid but is a bit like one of those things we were better off without..

that or stop watching dirty things on your phone

unlikely but if your phone was ever out of your sight for more than a minute someone could have installed something on it that won't show up no matter where you look.. do you know anybody who would have reason to do that?

Or maybe it was another Edward Snowdenlike person working for NSA who wanted to send me a sign or clue that they are watching us and not only that but they can impersonate us on our phones?

Do you understand the implications of that? They could set people up and frame them for crimes with that kind of power.

My phone has never been out of my sight. No one has had access to my phone but me. It was definitely hacked into. I doubt anyone has the power to do this but very powerful people like at the NSA.

I don't watch dirty things on my phone or on anything else. Porn and the like is repulsive to me. I only use my phone as a phone to keep in touch with my friends and family. I don't even browse the internet on it, except to check the weather.

You said it was sent from your phone and it was an appropriate response to something he sent you ? Yes ?
Instead of thinking about gov interference maybe you should be looking more supranational, like time line stuff , or something like that , if it came from your number it probably came from your phone , maybe a different reality where you did reply got mixed with the one you didn’t , multiverse and all that .
I’m not saying it as a fact I’m just throwing it out there , I know it seems implausible but any less than the gov or some one else replying to a text for you ?

Right now they are floating the possibility that somehow an older phone of mine was hacked into, but that phone is still in my possession, turned off, and not connected in anyway to the internet or a cell phone service, was also in my bedroom along with my new phone. I replaced my old phone with a new phone months ago. I just don't see how this could be possible. If it was the NSA I'm sure they'll find someway to explain it away. Right now I have to keep the chat open and they are suppose to contact me again with an hour or so with more information.

No way. I was not feeling well, allergies acting up, took something that makes you drowsy, and was sound asleep when that text message was sent from my phone which was sitting on my bedside table the entire night and no one but me could have had access to it. My son returned home two hours earlier and I already knew he was home. Why would I send him another text message when he was at home with me? Talk about creepy, I am creeped out about this.

Maybe your phone, they hacked my whatsapp a while ago. I just got a text message that someone requested a code to login, i was busy and though "well without the code they can't login" so i decided to check later. But to my surprise they were able to intercept the text and hacked the account. After that they tried multiple times, it all stopped when I move from tmobile to Google fi, i also got a new phone. TBH i dont know if it was the carrier or the phone, but it got solved.afro
