Martian Meteorites Contain Earthly Organics?

C15H20O6 (Vomitoxin, [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] ) has been discovered in a Martian meteorite nicknamed "Lafayette.": [link to www.space.com (secure)]

The questian: Did the compound (and many others found in Martian meteorites) originate from Earth? Why did it not originate from Mars?

Added on Oct. 27: Researchers are not certain.
