WHY did it post 3 times? I only submitted it once. I tried submitting my original comment but it had the L / Y word and would not accept.



Each time I clicked it it was blocked. I changed the word to "song" then only sub'd once. It should have my original wording for the other 2 tries, yet it does not!

The story l heard as a youngster was Phill was overlooking the ocean on a high cliff where he was to meet some friends on the beach below. He noticed one friend go into the ocean and started drowning and the other person who was there who he didn’t know watched his friend drown and didn’t try to save him. Basically watched him drown. Phill met this person later in life and confronted him and then that person committed suicide. Now l have no idea if that was true but it was the story going around at that time.

phil was fishing in boat w friend and it was cold and they were wearing heavy clothes....his friend fell in and drown...he saw guy on shore and screamed for help to no avail....many years later he rigged a contest for free tickets to one of his concerts for that guy to win them and he song the song to him w spot light on him....guy killed himself after concert

The song is about transformation after having your psychy scratched to bits. There is no regret for the transition. To become the new person is to be free of human expectation and to be free of storybook love. The transition allows the singer to experience Gods love.
