Throughout history civilians have been at the forefront in inventing new tech for small arms.

While some certain Congress people have a wrong headed, warped view of civilians owning guns, they make a huge deal of civilians owning 'military' weapons, & wrongly think its never been allowed in the USA. But in reality, many times in US history, civilians owned BETTER small arms (rifles) than the military! Oh the horror!

Think about this, in 1861 many civilians owned the Henry rifle, it had a large capacity magazine, it held 16 rounds! Uncle Joe believes civilians should only be allowed to own 8 round magazines. BTW in 1860 & throughout the civil war, both armies were using the outdated muskets, maybe 3 shots a minute, once again, ordinary civilians had access to superior weapons tech than the State armies
