Probably because it was the first time there was "high culture" in the world, due to the popularity and spread of the Roman civilization. Deeds were more often seen and recorded at more distance. Otherwise, most no one before Christ Jesus, had demonstrated that amount of power in a human form.

Sin is an offence to God. That offence has seperated you from God, which means you are on the broad way to hell. Thats where youre going to end up, unless you are reconsiled to God.

Christ is the one that purchase you from hell, which is where you are going to end up anyway. That is a gift from God, if you are reconsiled to him, you will spend eternity with God which you will know trough Jesus.

Not a very good style of preaching if you want to save souls using Jesus Christ's methods. Only Jesus Christ could read people's souls, therefore judge them, you cannot.

Sounds like you felt convicted, because sin and seperation from God is the issue here, not high culture/rome etc.

Here I'll have a go...

Technically since before anything existed including the Bible, the Quran, planet Earth, Earthlings and all the universe...the truth resided where nothing existed...then spoke everything into existence...so technically your living in the lie and the Lord is the truth.

Thats a way of looking at it i havent thought of before. But ofcourse an essence of God is truth.

How people become lost...they love the lie more than the Lord.

The ones who don't follow the right one is the ones against the Truth and life, surely you know that Satan is the ruler of the world, he is the father of lies. There are people who call him god, he is a created being but they call him god? Strange people would believe they are better off in hell with him for a few years of power on earth. They are idiots and truly and nothing will help them unless they open their eyes and ears. This is how he gets them, with lies, he is only allowed to have the world for a time, and then it is over. God's time is not our time and I don't try to time God. He does not want any part of mankind to burn.

No-one walks in truth anymore, they are all crooked. They fear the truth, as they fear the bitter truth about themselves.

Anything that brings one to be more in touch with God is great.

But as with everything in this world, even Holy teachings are not immune to being tainted with human biases through mistranslation, misinterpretation, misunderstanding, exaggeration, embellishment, and ill intent.

Many are very well invested in their religion, and so when presented with a different set of knowledge they would brush it away. Not a criticism, but only to highlight human nature.

One of the biggest misunderstanding of God is that God will judge and punish. We have humanized God to behave badly just like us, turning the caring and compassionate God into a God who demands obedience and worship or else will get angry and torture us for eternity in fire.

We can't know what we don't know, and so we could only explain the unseeable and unknowable with what we know. With our biases, we have painted Heaven to be as dysfunctional as what we have here.

Stories of God being angry and vengeful, corrupted angels, archangels, wars in Heaven, fallen angels, Satan, and Hell all came from the creative imagination of humans. Stories that were handed down through many generations and taken as truth without being questioned.

If Heaven is just like what we have here with greed, wars, and vengeance, why then would so many yearn to go to Heaven?

There is only pure love in Heaven, unlike what we envisioned Heaven to be.

God loves each of us unconditionally and equally, regardless if we are Christians or not, believers or not, sinners or not.

To believe otherwise is to believe God set us up to fail by blessing us with free will and then relishes in punishing us for making mistakes, and that God will judge and punish self.

We are made in God's image, the image of love energy.

The Kingdom of God is within each of us, in every one of the many trillions of DNA in each body.

Not fantasy or delusion, simply advance physics or metaphysics.

God wants to be found by us, and so the Word of God will always be caring, understanding, compassionate, uniting, uplifting, and empowering to inspire and encourage us to seek the love of God for comfort and benevolent guidance.

Careful of any teachings claiming to be the Word of God that put fear in us, belittle us, divide us, confuse us, or instill superiority. Those are teachings from humans still heavily under the influence of the ego that knows not of love, compassion, gratitude, and equality.

So is all that just misinformation? That is up to each individual reader to decide.

Perhaps go beyond studying the words in a Holy book and seek to experience even just a tiny bit of God's immense unconditional love. Applauds to all who have well studied a Holy book, but nothing beats experiencing.

The Truth is love, always has been and it's no secret. Pure unconditional love that is God. All spiritually advanced messengers throughout the ages uniformly taught us a way of living life that aligns with love. And interestingly it is human nature that many humans placed a few of the messengers on a pedestal to be praised and worshipped while making themselves to become lowly and unworthy.

What an amazing adventure we passionately signed up for when in our true home on the other side of the Veil of Forgetfulness.

An amazing but extremely challenging adventure to see if we could while in the human form go from feeling separated from God and return to being in Oneness with God by choosing love.

And when we do choose love, we assist with transforming this young dark world to paradise.

We are not here randomly. We are here to do work to expand love and light by leaving this world a better place than when we came.

Not all will be onboard because free will means we all will be at different points along the very very long spiritual path to love. Nonetheless, we all will eventually reach the same common destination. We are all learning, hence no judgement on making poor choices.

The caring and compassionate God knows and understands. God will never judge and punish, rather God will always lovingly nurture and patiently guide us back onto the path of love when we veered off it from not knowing any better yet.

Humanizing God, or making him into a socialist humanist basically which want to compromize with everyone including satan himself, is one of THE biggest problems in the church today, i believe this form of "christanity" (aka "progressive christanity") is apostate since it relyes in twisting scripture and ignoring a big part of Gods character, his judgement and wrath, which we who accept Christs death on the cross for our sins is saved from.

Because the wrath of God is clearly explained in scripture. Hell is eternal, that is also clearly explained in scripture. Jesus even told his diciples to bring swords with them, self defence is perfectly fine and there is something called JUST WAR, as Raymond Ibrahim explains well in my post over this.

God humanized himself through Christ the first time and I have a sneaking feeling he has done it again today for the coming judgement. How do you know the wrath of God isn't already taking place?

A guy come up to me a couple of weeks ago knowing I am a Christian and started talking about pulling out his church of Satan knife and going nuts... he said it in good humour so I laughed it off and never thought anything more about it...couple weeks later in the same place I spoke to him the pitbull he was walking turned on him and attacked him he's know in a coma think he lost his leg and arm...

And the exact same folks again, seem to have an issue with the nation state of Israel and the j ish people, which if youre honest to what the bible teach, tells us christians we should have an attitue of gratitute towards!
