Yea its hitting hard, but mostly children, and most are perfectly fine if treated early (high temps).
But its a pretty common ped infection, but has been dormant since covid lockdowns, so now its making a resurgence this year.
Dont feel there is anything sinister about it, just mother nature asserting herself again.
