Having worked for several large companies and laid off workers periodically, the WARN act is addressed by simply adding 60 days to the severance period of pay. Also, laid off employees are usually escorted out with personal belongings only, and are eliminated from communication systems--intranet, company phone etc. Thats how it works, thats life and the law.
