coming egg shortage in UK cause by supermarkets | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76883161 ![]() 11/09/2022 10:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Its not an issue between retailer and seller. The issue is that rising egg prices is causing consumers to buy less. Local store used to have $1.99 sale every weekend and now it's $3.49 on sale with a regular retail price that's increased to $4.99 for a dozen eggs. Demand isn't there with prices so high as margins on eggs is a negative value for most supermarkets on a period by period basis, guaranteed. The demands not there for the product and as such farmers need to find a way to offset the issue. Most other things you could argue, eggs 100% definitely isn't one of them. I'm also a store manager in retail, go figure. |
