U.S. mint to honor a Chinese women on our quarter

U.S. Mint’s American Women Quarters™ Program

Public Law 116-330 authorized the program of coins. The series is scheduled to include a total of twenty coins over four years at a rate of five per year. Each celebrates the accomplishments and contributions made by women to the development and history of the United States.

One of the 2022 American Women quarters will honor:


Anna May Wong – first Chinese American film star in Hollywood, who left a legacy for women in the film industry.

Public Law 116-330 states that the coins are to celebrates the accomplishments and contributions made by women to the development and history of the United States.......First of all, I have never heard of Anna May Wong and how has she helped in any way with the development and history of the United States???
