I never heard of FTX until recent weeks. Reason, I do not pay attention to MSM.

I have electronics and software degrees, I did hardware
7 years and software 33 so far. You can't shrink
microchips in a linear fashion. You start getting
capacitance and em effects that bollux your designs
at 10 nm, 7 nm chips. You reach diminishing returns.

much easier to create DUAL processors using known
specs, then you can SIMULATE an increase in processing
by shunting some in parallel. but there's a big
efficiency loss so 2x processor is NOT equal to one
processor at double speed.
