Except these are recruits, so men and women running in sweats, that might not even be obviously marked.

That's unlikely, unless the driver was a sheriff or former recruit, so knew the schedule and what to look for?

Probably a bad accident, given that factor.

So, the recruits were jogging on the sidewalk in a large group? I find it very hard to believe that a "wrong way" driver accidentally veered into them. Even if I were in that position, accidentally going the wrong way and trying to get off the road, I would NOT pull into a large group of people jogging to evade a car. I think the probability that they lost control and just happened to veer into the jogging group is very slim as well.

I would bet anything that this was intentional.

Even if they were not marked, my bet is still on this being an attack. They could have just seen a bunch of light-skinned people in the group and decided to target them on account of that. In 2022, with identity politics, CRT, and outspoken anti-whitism it would not surprise me one bit.

It's hard to imagine somebody veering directly into a large group of joggers unintentionally.

The attacker probably thought they could kill a bunch of people and get off the hook by claiming it was an accident.

I know you two are probably just trolling, but on the off chance that you are actually that stupid, note that the above line from the article does not mean that the recruits were in the street at the time of the incident. It means the first responders who were treating the recruits were in the street. Ex, the ambulance that arrived to treat them parked in the street.

Some of the recruits may have ended up on the street after they were hit, but they were probably jogging on the sidewalk before.

There is a college there, Rio Hondo College, there is also a police academy at the facility. it is on the border of El Monte, City of Industry, and Whittier.

Just somebody who possesses enough reasoning to point out the improbability of a driver 'accidentally' veering into a large group of joggers that they should have been able to see far down the road. Unless, of course, the driver happened to be blind as a bat.
