This weather reminds me of some late 1980-1990s weather with deep snow and very cold winters. People were caught in blizzards on highways and it was so cold they had some die from it.
So, if you live in these areas to the north above the Mason Dixion line, keep things in your car that you need to keep warm and build and fuel a fire, food, and water and unless you need to, don't travel in weather that is calling some very heavy snow and dropping temperatures it has been a long time since this happened but it sure looks as if it on the comeback. Remember if you have to travel plan for emergency packed bags for survival.
I do have a long memory and I also talked to a lot of people who thought they were not going to make it during that time they got stuck without emergency supplies with them. Think of freezing to death because you got stuck and so many other people also did and no one could rescue you. Total freezing very low temperatures during this time, white outs miles upon miles of cars stopped, and not being able to see for the snow before the deep cold. You do not want to be a popsicle or a flash-frozen dinosaur. You can melt snow if you run out of water but it doesn't stop the cold.
