I remember one news report I read, a set of teens got in a minor wreck with their Tesla at low speed. It was basically just a skid and tap into a brick wall which normally they could have gotten out and walked away from but the Tesla broke out into a huge lithium fireball and melted the doors shut, the kids couldnt escape. People watched them burn alive.

You couldnt get me into one of those things when you risk the worst death from just the most minor of accidents

Gas tanks in cars are well protected but a Lithium car battery isnt and is very unstable. They even catch fire in garages and just sitting in the driveway.

Wonder what they hit on the road. I remember there were a lot of truck tire caps that would come off the tire and lay on the road. "Alligators" was the pet name the CB'ers gave them.
