Facebook is desperately trying to "reinvent" itself as it circles the drain. Facebook is what they call in the cattle industry a "downer." Nothing really can be done to save it.

They're deep in debt, burning cash, with no viable business plan or vision to salvage the wreckage. So they just throw shit at the wall praying something sticks.

Best they could do would be sell off whatsapp and instagram to try to pay off some of their debt before just turning out the lights. Everyone is leaving insta and whatsapp for tik tok and signal. So they need to sell those quick before they become irrelevant.
