If you had you would not talk as you do, it would be impossible. the fact that you deny my experience without even knowing me PROVES that you're either very confused, mentally ill, full of ego or a flat out liar of the worst kind. either way. Any experience of the Christ is a gift of God's Grace. Please accept my apology I came across to strong. I am always in a defensive posture after years of being battle hardened here. But talk about ego, when the Lord touched me I was in Love and my EGO could barely fit in the Creation. It is a very difficult thing, then the Lord told me the rest of the story and deflated my eGO. Suffice it to say I have nothing to brag about God's mercy is greater than we could possibly fathom. I'm living proof. Ok. fair enough. and THAT sounds much more believable to me. I think we all have different perspectives on it but I think over time clarity will come into view for many many people and the confusion based divisions will vanish. |

But it is a fair point -- maybe the Gospel of Thomas was correct all along. Christianity is certainly all the better for the Reformation -- it allowed Christianity to move beyond the simplistic literal interpretation of the Bible and realise that God's Word is complex at all points. Islam hasn't had a reformation -- The Quran is still interpreted literally and believed to be the absolute Word of God, even though Muhammad (PBUH) didn't write the words and they had to be decided upon years after his death by the third Calif, who might be described as Rightfully Guided, or might not (just ask a Shia Muslim). Unfortunately, Uthman destroyed all previous copies of the Quran so we've no idea what Muhammad actually said, only what Uthman decided to include. Sure, it might well be the Word of God, but it was collated by man with all of his imperfections, and so it is just as likely to include lots of made-up bits (useful for Uthman) or deleted bits (inconvenient for Uthman). Why the focus on the Quran -- Christianity is based upon Jesus being made of one substance with God; The Quran is based upon the Quran being the absolute Word of God. It is equally valid to consider whether Jesus truly was God or man as it is to consider that The Quran truly was written by God or man. |

True Christians believe in the Trinity and that Jesus is God and not just a messenger. No, it sounds like these doctrines of men is why the road is so broad and few the ones finding it. You need to search to see what makes that gate narrow. Not recognizing GOD is probably key, also not recognizing who the Son is. They are NOT the same person. Only apocryphal additions centuries after the fact support the 3N1 Doctrine. God YHWH is One and there is no other GOD. Not two and not three. Jesus is not GOD his name is not Yahweh.
