Kroeger Turkey vs Jennie O vs Honeysuckle vs Butterball? Any real difference?
Kroeger Turkey on sale in Vegas for 79 cents a pound.

Honeysuckle Turkey on sale for same price but I'd have to buy a larger size.

Jennie-O is 89 cents a pound.

Butterball is at least $1.50 a pound.

Any real difference?

Are you asking if there are different qualities of meat, in the meat production industry?

The only difference is what they inject so check the ingredients.

Butterball: Ingredients
Whole Young Turkey. Contains up to 8% of a solution of Water, Salt, Spices, and Natural Flavor. (sodium 200)

Buy the cheapest one. Put it in a brine for at least 12 to 24 hours. Will still turn out delicious.

You can't beat a Butterball

They are better quality. I used to smoke turkeys pretty regular.
If you can deal with a larger turkey that is.

Pretty much this.

They all come from commercial turkey farms. Some worse than others, but they all use the same "Poult stock". They are fed the same crap, and get the same shots. The only "brand" difference is what "brine" they inject them with.

Most turkey you buy, has been frozen for 2 years.

I go for fresh over frozen...

I don't care about the brand but look at the solution used. I don't want added sugar or msg.

I second the brine suggestion only I air dry my turkey for 24 hours in the fridge after brining for 24 hours and then slather it with butter... the skin gets so crispy you could give yourself a heart attack even if you're unvaxxed...
You're the only one who gets to choose your vision... is the glass half empty or half full?

I butcher the turkey, brine the parts with sprite and a bit of salt. But it takes trial and error to not get it too salty. Then I cook the dark meat until it falls off the bone and I cook the breast separately until it's about 155.

Honeysuckle White turkeys are treated to a brine of turkey broth, salt, sugar, celery and rosemary extract.

Butterball is the best...

I usually buy Honeysuckle. It's about half the cost of the Butterball and the Honeysuckle tastes good...\

It also depends on how you prepare the Turkey and how you cook it...

Re: Kroeger Turkey vs Jennie O vs Honeysuckle vs Butterball? Any real difference?
Ex trucker here. Used to pick up turkeys over in Wadena MN at one of two places. I think that one is JennyO. Anyway I talked to a turkey farmer once and he said turkeys don't get any drugs or shots unless the pen that their in gets a sick one discovered. Then they'll give the pen an antibiotic to save the rest from getting sick. Cleanest meat to eat. Now you don't want to know what is in chickens. You'll quit eating them. And hot dogs and hamburgers... Was at the stockyards one day watching my friend load a trailer of cattle. I couldn't believe the mangy sickly looking cattle going right by me 3 feet away. So I asked one of the guys there "is this grade A meat?". He smiled and chuckled, no, hot dogs and hamburgers. My stomach turned. Been a non meat eater and enjoying my perfect health as the reward

I don't know. I doubt the difference is of much consequence, unless you just pick a marginal bird.

I don't know about Las Vegas, but in Indiana, Kroger dot com has a 30¢ digital coupon, making the price 49¢. If I had turkey ambitions, that would be the deciding factor.
