My 16 year old son says he is an atheist and I would some good points to discuss with him. My way of handling thus far has been to tell him...its a free country, he is free to believe what he wants, I can`t make him believe. I also told him I am glad he is thinking for himself but to keep an upon mind because he is young yet. He says he wants to believe but just doesn`t. He is a very scientific, smart minded kid. The original model for the 'Creator' god was Ptah of Memphis, the 'Universal Architect' who was also credited with creating all the other gods too. The original model for the 'One God' was Amon-Ra. The Greek name for Amon-Ra was 'AMON O THEOS', whence we get the English word 'monotheism'. |
