Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72490747 So if I spin the pump with a drill and get good pressure and the Pistons are tight but it cleans up nice you still think that I need a new engine? |

Is it locked up if it is it's going to need rebuilt. It's not a matter of oil pressure the rings bond to the Walls and will break you bought an expensive toy. |

I was hoping to check the compression and if it had good compression then I know I can build the top end |

Then roll up your sleeves and re-bore that carburetor with some well used chopsticks. That’ll do the trick Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62685097 Sauerkraut goes with sausage I don't think you are a mechanic... Last Edited by bro tim on 11/27/2022 10:31 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72490747 I'm old school brother I would probably change the distributor to solid state but I do know how to do points and I would keep the old distributor in case of an EMP LOL |

It was an animal . |
