At around 1:40 sec. the noble professor digresses for a moment to highlight the naturally inherent disposition of Japaneses people to resist catching Covid-19, due to a specific enzyme in their saliva. Uh... wut? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84025158 I have never heard anyone make mention of this saliva thing before, which is suspect and concerning in and of itself (my guess is the professor is 100% spot-on, otherwise he would never make mention of it during his big moment in the spotlight) now, add the likelihood for this enzyme to be in all or most Asiatic people, to include China. ![]() Yes, I thought that it was interesting as well. The Dr is saying that Japanese people, pre-pandemic, had amounts of sars-cov antibodies (secretory IgA) protecting them from covid infection. This is why, presumably, Japan had low cases during the initial outbreak in 2020. The media chalked it up to PPE practices and lockdowns, but it was really IgA protection (hence no need to vaccinate) Now that people in Japan are vaccinating, the accompanying drop in innate immunity is making them much more susceptible to covid infection. Pre-pandemic Japan may have been close to herd immunity. Now, after vaccination, that mark may never be reached. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Japan is one of the few countries in the East who received/accepted the Americana/Western mRNA shots- Russia, China, India all used mostly traditional vaccines (if at all). If depop. was the primary driver for this thing, WHY allow the 2 countries who boast 1/3 of the global pop. off the hook? I found it interesting to recently learn the only protests allowed in China were 'Japanese hate' protests (and if you look at all the recent shit happening there to throw out the CCP, it is evidently constructed BS, for whatever reason)- they HATE Japan, for what they did pre-WWII (some barbaric, horrible shit at that I might add). |
