Germany and Italy need to make their security and trade deal directly with Russian. And that is what is going to happen. Europeans have figured out this fucking useless war in the Ukraine is going to kill the Europe economy for a generation. For what? Horse shit. Russia is hardly and existential threat to anyone in Europe. If we can make trade deals with Communist China without moral angst, we can deal with Russia. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 84852483 Russia is not an OPEC member you moron. Yes, Russia is not part of OPEC, but OPEC sets prices and Russia sells just under those prices (discounted), and are very happy to do so. I wonder how fucken stupid the Eurotards are sometimes? |

Seems pretty amazing that would be the case for so many different countries. Then after the gov puppet rats get hung the same thing needs to be done to the 3 biggest media companies in each country. Then on to the next and the next and the next its to many to list at this point. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 84516296 United States 12/03/2022 03:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "A far harsher, separate EU embargo on Russian crude traveling by sea or via pipeline is set to take effect on Dec. 5, in an attempt to financially curtail Moscow’s war effort. American negotiators worry that the EU embargo, combined with the threat of cutting off insurance and other services for vessels shipping Russian oil, will send crude prices upward, unintentionally boosting the Kremlin’s revenue. The White House hopes that the price cap will encourage the EU to relax its draconian plan to completely ban the importation, financing, and insuring of Russian oil shipments." So that makes two reasons for oil prices to go up. EU price embargo Cutting off insurance and services to Russian vessels. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 83899610 United States 12/03/2022 03:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.zerohedge.com (secure)] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80638402 FRIDAY, DEC 02, 2022 - 11:03 AM The European Union reached a deal on Friday to cap Russian oil at $60 a barrel, paving the way for G7 nations to launch an 'unprecedented mechanism,' as the Wall Street Journal reports. The move came after overcoming a last-minute push by Poland to lower the cap, for which the European Commission had originally proposed between $65 and $70 per barrel. In short, the EU came down to Poland's price, which had become a point of contention for more than a week. I have not studied this as closely as other issues, but I have trouble identifying any leverage that the EU has over Russia. When that is the case, this kind of rhetoric ends up being symbolic and <wait for it...> idiotic. |
