It doesnt seem like mortars making a little noise would be that big of deal.

most jacked from civilians who came up with ideas and plans for practical apparatus, weather similar, having little or no relevance to military, war, killing or anything of the sort.

my guess is its to minimize return/counter battery fire but if it was a game changer my guess is we would be doing it too, spigot mortars arent new tech, but i believe these have a secondary motor that light up in air.

if someone knows their rational feel free to chime in. I just find the tech interesting
