Both sides seem to be claiming damage and we now have another source, a French satellite, showing images from today saying there is no damage at the claimed airfield.... [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] So whats the deal? Any guesses? Maybe the drone was intercepted but it benefits BOTH parties to claim damage was done? Ukraine gets a win, Russia gets a reason to rile up its people and expand the war? Or maybe the satellite photo is wrongly attributed. Who knows.... SwampCreature

Whats going on here [link to www.rt.com (secure)] Heres the Russians saying damage was done, I guess they do say "While they were detected and shot down by air defenses, the debris impacted the airfields “slightly” damaging two aircraft." and "Three service members were “fatally injured” while four more were taken to military hospitals for treatment." Whats going on here Appears there is damage but from the satellites its pretty minimal. Russia could have left the world with only the satellite photos and possible claimed mission successful, UAV shot down, no casualties but they didnt. This tells me Russia wants to make something out of this.... an attack on Russias nuclear weapons is surely a threat to the homeland.
