HELLO ATHEISTS - So if you don't believe in God. . .what is death to you?

So which do you believe in or hope for OP
Sleep dead in the grave until the Resurrections, whenever that will be,
Or go straight to heaven after death?

I cannot say because I do not know when the resurrection is.

Whether it is for each individually or together at once...I do not know.

Although, the Bible states it clearly:

Luke 23:42-44
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.


But I think Paradise is before Judgment Day...
Sort of a temporary place...it is not Heaven...not yet.

A door and I gave no idea what is on other side. Meantime I can stand on my own 2 legs and I'll deal with things as they come!

That's what you go back to; blissful nothingness.
You won't know or care that you ever lived, so you'll have lost nothing.
And you can't prove God anymore than I can disprove God.
I don't know why people get so worked up about what comes next.

I can prove God.

Take a breath...

The breath of life by God was given to Adam.

Since then every breath every person, who descended from Adam, has breathed the breath of life.

You right this second as you read this, are breathing that same breath of life.

There are many other ways to prove God.

But you may not be ready for them...

Could you believe in and love God without expecting to be rewarded for your devotion?

Could you be kind and compassionate to others because that is a better way of living as spiritually evolving humans?

If you could do all that, why worry about whether or not you will be going to Heaven, drown in nothingness, or reincarnate.

Even if we couldn't, God will love us just the same, unconditionally and equally.

Contrary to popular beliefs, God doesn't anger easily to judge and torture us for disbelieving and disobeying. Humans do, as evidenced in this and many other threads on religion that devolve into my religion or my God is better than yours.

And humans will always reincarnate as humans, not as insects and worms. This world was created for us to have a very long term adventure here while in human form. We are the only creatures on this beautiful planet with a yearning to understand who or what we truly are and why we are here.

I'm not an atheist, but death is an illusion.

When I was an atheist that was the best thing about it - no longer having any fear or concern about what happens after death. However I was young then in my 20’s and death was a long way off. Now that I am much older I really have come to like the idea of not ending my self and being able to continue on to live on after death.
