Turns out deer would come around and lick their dried urine, he said because they wanted the salt. Just another idea OP. I've been feeding the deer here for decades. They really love cracked corn. Sometimes I'll put out some apples, or old bread. Recently, I gave the squirrels some old pistachios, and was surprised when the deer started eating them, with the shell. Probably because of the salt. |
