Ukraine as a Proxy War For US-NATO Alliance: All Sides Highly Vested

Both sides of the coin, from the Republicans to the Democrats are highly vested in this ongoing conflict without end. Negotiations are unlikely to end the conflict. There is no plausible scenario where Ukraine will conceded to any territorial concessions. The outcome is likely a running conflict, maybe the two sides will eventually have a defacto line of actual control where Ukraine does not recognize Russian control and neither side is engaged in a hot fire fight. Too many Russian soldiers have perished for President Putin to relinquish the areas under Russia control in return for NATO security gurantees. It is clear this is not going to be a short decisive war but a quagmire costing trillions.
