We can edit genes to add eye color and decrease myostatin for added strangth but not intelligence. Thats not a selectable gene. Not without taking the entire X or Y chromozomes and carry them over. Thats assumsing those genes do come from historically intelligent people in the past. So parents would have an edited baby thats even less then half related to themsleves. But even then you never know how smart a kid is going to be naturally when they grow up. Far too many variables at play that don't involve editing. Ultimatly its how you raise them.
