It only appears stationary from our distant perspective. And the stars aren't rotating around the sky. Earth is revolving. If Earth was flat, you could take the stone to Australia, point it in the sane direction, and see the north star. But you can't. And, you never will. Because the Earth is an oblongated sphere. |
