Poorest Americans drink a lot more sugary drinks than the richest – which is why soda taxes could help reduce gaping health inequalities
Many countries such as the U.K. and Mexico and a handful of U.S. cities such as Philadelphia and San Francisco have imposed soda taxes in an effort to fight rising obesity.

Lots of research shows a link between drinking sugary substances and a whole host of negative health outcomes, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, liver disease, tooth decay and gout.

BINGO.

Create a Free Market Heath Care system and these people can either pay high medical costs, or change their diets.

That is the problem with socialist healthcare. You are shifting the costs of their behaviors onto responsible people. You are stealing the wealth of responsible people.

Letting the govt. take money doesn't solve the problem.

More taxes and less freedom, what could go wrong?1doh1

When are you going to get it? The more taxes they collect, the more they spend.

They don't need more tax revenue, they need to cut spending.

Jim Jordan tweeted some truth that most in government wouldn't say.

I don't do Twatter, so I'm just gonna wing it. But it had to do with him saying how Elon fired half of Twatter employees, and Twatter is running better then ever! Maybe we should try that with our government!

Well the only reason soda is dirt cheap and full of sugar is because you and I, taxpayers, subsidize the production of vast quantities of HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP.

Hmmm. Wonder why that might be? Soft kill, maybe? Nah.

Just a coinkyding.
