Like all things in this world that started out with benevolent intentions, human greed could creep in to corrupt especially when there are huge profits to be had.

Human greed and hunger for power had turned pure spiritual teachings into a global industry for profit and control, corrupting and manipulating some of the pure teachings along the way to expand the business of religion.

It is very interesting that many religions and spiritual systems teach people their own perfect version of how to leave this chaotic harsh world behind and successfully go to paradise after death.

Not many, if any at all, teach that we are magnificent beings, with far more potential abilities to have greater control over our lives rather than being lowly and unworthy victims of this world.

And the key to unlocking those potential abilities is having sincere love and compassion for oneself, for others, and for everything. It is a return to our true nature, a return to becoming in Oneness with God.

All that could be done without joining a religion or spiritual system. But if doing so makes one joyful then by all means do so.

It's good to keep in mind the Word of God will always be caring, understanding, kind, compassionate, uniting, uplifting, and empowering to inspire and encourage us to seek the love of God for comfort and guidance while we undergo the difficult task of learning to grow up spiritually to greater love and compassion.

Careful of any teachings claiming to be the Word of God that put fear in us, belittle us, divide us, confuse us, or promote hierarchy and superiority. Those are teachings from humans still under the strong grip of their ego.
