I'm glad you made this thread because my family on both sides goes back to Scottish and English 'royalty' per my cousin's findings. My family is just a typical Irish family from the Boston area, like several other people from Massachusetts. One day I was talking to a friend who said, "Aren't we ALL related to them somehow?". He was clearly making me feel stupid, and I thought perhaps we actually are all from some kind of lineage at some point? My grandmother was invited to someone's fancy wedding in the UK that was for some type of 'royal' but she didn't like the 'pomp and circumstance' so she didn't go. This was like 70 years ago per my mom. But I have no idea what family we're from on that side of my family. I hope this all makes sense. Mom's side: UK; dad's side Scottish/Irish. My main question is, are we all related to the 'royals' in some way? |
