HELP: My Android cell phone keeps granting Google access to microphone, camera, and more

Go in Google settings under advanced and find the setting allow modifying system settings under Google, and turn it OFF

Took me awhile but I found where that was. It was ON. now OFF. I am an old dude and nearly Amish when it comes to these kind of things.

Chrome does this too but less often. I will turn it off too.

And I bet these settings get turned back on whenever the phone software is updated...

I turned off Google Play Services a long time ago and my phone bitches at me about that constantly, says things will not work without it.

It probably was changing the settings every update, because it was allowed to. Now it's not, so it shouldn't. But keep checking often to make sure Google doesn't override them!
