Anyone here have the request from VA stating they will pay me if I allow then to search for to examine me looking for a specific genetic marker?

they told me I will receive giftcards for 50 dollar everytime and travel expenses if I allow them to examine me and take a bit of blood. I'm very curious. I don't know what a genetic marker actually is but they are eager to find it in me as part of research.
