Human technology can now defeat heat, cold, floods, droughts, storms, etc. Can design new plants and animals for more food production. Can even leave the planet altogether.
Would nature really design a creature that would be capable of making nature almost obsolete?

Why would god allow humans this level of intelligence but nothing further such as curing all disease, free energy, etc?
